FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is Culinair?

Culinair is a web app that extracts structured recipes from social media videos and food blogs. Paste a TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, or food blog link and get the full recipe with ingredients, step-by-step instructions, and macro breakdown (calories, protein, carbs, fat) in seconds.

Which platforms does Culinair support?

Culinair works with TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, standard YouTube videos, and virtually any public food blog. If it has a recipe, you can paste the link.

How do I save a recipe from a video or blog?

Copy the link from TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, or any food blog, paste it into Culinair, and click Extract Recipe. Within seconds you'll have the full recipe saved to your library with ingredients, steps, and macros.

Can I get recipes via Instagram DMs?

Yes. Follow @culinair.app on Instagram and share any Reel with us. The bot replies with the full recipe right in the conversation. Link your Culinair account by sending 'connect' and recipes are auto-saved to your library. Free users get 5 extractions/month via DM, Pro subscribers get unlimited.

Does Culinair calculate macros and calories?

Yes. Every extracted recipe includes an estimated macro breakdown - calories, protein, carbs, and fat - calculated per serving using the USDA FoodData Central nutrition database.

How accurate are the extracted recipes?

Culinair uses AI to transcribe videos, read captions, and parse blog posts to extract recipe details. Accuracy depends on how clearly the creator presents the recipe. Well-produced cooking videos and structured blog recipes yield complete, accurate results.

Is Culinair free to use?

Culinair offers a 14-day unlimited free trial with no credit card required. After the trial, the free plan includes 10 recipe extractions per month. The Pro plan ($3/month or $24/year) gives unlimited extractions.

Can I cancel my Pro subscription anytime?

Yes. You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period and you keep full access until then.
